PREVIEW: Ubisoft launched The Crew 2 open world driving game in June, and now it's supporting the game with a post-release update called Gator Rush. I took the game for a spin last week at a Ubisoft press event in San Francisco. And while I'm not much of a player, I found the game was easy to get into ...]
PREVIEW: Eat dirt, taste victory. That's an apt tagline for Trials: Rising, the zany dirt-bike racing game being developed by RedLynx and Ubisoft Kiev. If you fail and land in the dirt, you get up and try it again until you win. The title comes out on the consoles and PC in February 2019, but we ...]
Ubisoft said it is now taking preorders for Tom Clancy’s The Division 2, which arrives on the consoles and the PC on March 15, 2019. Ubisoft said the game will be available in Standard, Gold, Ultimate and Collector’s editions. The French video game publisher made the announcement at Gamescom, the big European game event this week ...]
The pool of secondary gadgets in Rainbow Six Siege is set to expand, as Ubisoft wants to vary up the pool of options and buff those that have fallen behind. It’s all part of plan to expand your gadget choices alongside the ever-increasing number of operators, and make sure every one of those choices is worthwhile.
“As we expand the pool of operators we want to expand the pool of gadgets,” game director Leroy Athanassoff tells us. “Also, another thing that we want to do is to buff gadgets. Right now, we understand that there are some standard gadgets that are really subpar compared to other gadgets, and we really want to buff them and make them all viable.”
Both steps might just be necessary after the launch of Siege’s next season. In our , PCGN Siege expert Jordan notes that Maverick’s blowtorch is an excellent tool for taking out gadgets that were previously staples of any line-up. If the post-Grim Sky meta shakeup is anywhere near as big as we suspect, an enhanced selection of gadgets will go a long way.
It's time to test just how good of a capitalist you can be with Anno 1800, the new 19th-century city-building game from Ubisoft that debuts in February 2019 on the PC. Anno 1800 is the seventh game in franchise, and this time developer Ubisoft Blue Byte is focusing on the Age of Industrialization. That means ...]

With Rainbow Six Siege sitting comfortably on 35 million players worldwide, now is a good time for Ubisoft to announce what’s next for its trailblazing tactical shooter. The next major content drop is Operation Grim Sky, bringing two game-changing Operators and extensively reworked map in the form of Hereford. Veterans should be pumped for this. Newcomers… it’s about time you got yourselves on board! Here’s what we learned about Operation Grim Sky from Ubisoft, along with an insightful chat to R6 Community Developer, Craig Robinson.
Ubisoft and Massive Entertainment have announced update 1.8.3 for The Division, which will bring several balance changes but the best among them are definitely the PvP nerfs for Classified and regular sets of Striker's Battlegear.
That Nemesis System was a stroke of inspired cleverness by developer Monolith Games, an idea that players wanted to see copied and pasted in other games. To a certain extent, Ubisoft’s upcoming Assassin’s Creed Odyssey will have its own take on the gameplay mechanic, offering players Mercenaries instead of Nemesises…Nemesi…dammit what’s the plural of Nemesis I should know this oh right it’s Nemeses.
Rainbow Six Siege’s ranked play is likely to leave beta soon. In an interview at this weekend’s Six Major in Paris, we spoke to the game’s brand director, Alexandre Remy, about bringing the first-person shooter’s ranked mode out of testing.
Ranked play has been available in Rainbow Six Siege since the game was first released back in December 2015. But despite the mode having been available for nearly three years, (and spawning a healthy esports scene) Ubisoft is yet to declare it fully fit for purpose. Remy, however, says that that beta tag could be set to disappear in the not too distant future.
In an interview with PCGN at the Major, Remy joked that “I think we are at the point now where we’re too attached to the beta tag to get rid of it.” He goes on, however, to say that while the mode is still “missing a couple of features,” ranked should finally leave its beta testing phase “soon.” Remy also says that “we are close to [the full release].”
