Anyone have this game? I checked out some videos and reviews and am interested, but then I saw it was $60 and had pay-for paint jobs and junk. This isn't like Star Citizen where you can spend a ton of money is it? Worth the $60?
Electronic Arts producer Jim Vessella has taken to to ask for community feedback on the return of the franchise to PC. Vessella has a long history at EA and was on the production team for the likes of Command & Conquer 3 and Red Alert 3, along with being the Lead Producer on Kane’s Wrath. In those...
The series is revolutionary for its 6 degrees of freedom with movement, and for the robot AI. The robots all had distinctive personalities and behavior which hold up even today.
1 brings back a lot of nostalgia with its classic level design and simplified weapon load-out.
2 is my favorite and I really liked the themes that each group of levels followed (e.g. lava, water, ice, etc.). Even the robots matched said themes. It also doubled the weapons and added power-ups such as the afterburner...
I'm one of the few people who still hasnt played it yet but I dont keep tabs on steam very much so I'm curious if it goes on sale regularly and I should wait until a sale or if its one of those games that never goes on sale so there is no point in waiting.
I bought it last night after it went full release. Played blackout for one round but I ran out of time and had to stop, but oh man this game is slick as hell and runs like a dream. I love blackout and can't wait to check out the rest of multiplayer and the zombies mode.
Haven't played a COD game in the longest time, but the boring ass WWII scene of BF5 coming right after the boring ass scene of WWI in BF1 has just killed it for me permanently. Combined with their stupid political crap...
I back this thing but haven't played it yet.
But it just seems filled with optional and crippling things you can pay to address.
Even during development they had sales on what seems like hundreds of cash items, and 'housing plots' seemed to range from hundreds to tens of thousands of dollars.
Oh, and most had 'tax' owed on an ongoing basis.
Now I just got another mail promoting more bundles.
Things like 'viking kits' on sale ranging from $49 on sale for $40 to $149 on sale for $100....
So, I was one of those kids in the 90s that was introduced to video games as a real thing, not just pong or space invaders and the like.
One of the first games I started with was C&C Red Alert. Then I was introduced to stuff like Lords of the realm 2 and Starcraft. Eventually I had an N64 and played golden eye and starfox and all those great games.
The big deal for me was when xbox came around and I discovered Halo, Halo was my first dual joystick game, that was where I first learned the...
what was so bad about being independent and living off KickStarter? it worked for both PoE games.
if the deal goes through, its just a matter of time before Obsidian gets the usual studio treatment under M$.
I have Forza Horizon 4 (PC) and I'm getting a few stutters in the motion. I noticed that the longer I play the game, the more frequently stuttering occurs and I had a few 1/4 second stutters in the motion. I'm using the latest GPU drivers but that did not help. I have an i7-4930k, GTX 1080 Ti, and 32 GB DDR3-1600. Is smooth except for these occasional hitches in the game. This game is installed on an SSD. I have the game maxed out at 1080p except with 4x MSAA and FXAA off. Is this a...
I bought the SteelSeries Wireless Arctic 7 a few months ago. I use these for work and when I'm gaming. I don't do much online gaming so I don't know how good the mic is, but the reviews on YT have stated that it's pretty decent. For about $150 on Amazon. It might be a bit expensive but IMO good headsets cost money.
Anyone use the same headset or something similar?
So I just finished replaying Modern Warfare 3. It looks and runs fine at 2560x1440 with 4xTrSS at a constant locked 80FPS with gsync:
I’ve played up to and including Ghosts and I found all of them average to mediocre, except for 2 and MW3.
In particular I found 1, MW and MW2 to be vastly overrated and...
Outside of the fact that it's Ubisoft, this game is amazing. It's basically a fighting game in the guise of an MMO. Albeit a light MMO given the most players in a match is 4v4. I spent the open beta playing it. I did not like it at all at first. In fact I didn't like it until the last 2 days of the beta. The reasons it took me awhile are 1) to grasp the overall control scheme 2) learn a class's moves and combos and 3) learn a...
Like most of you in this aging forum, I'm getting older too. I haven't been playing much games but then a nerdrage ticked inside me and I spent pretty penny on GTX 1060 6gb from HD6870 (6 yrs old~). I also upgraded from i3-2120 to i7-3770 used.
I used to play TONS of Dota 2.. probably over a decade from Dota 1. That game locks you in for 40-50+ mins with your teammates, so people end up getting VERY toxic. I was 5K MMR solo queue- top 98%~ percentile.
But everyone is miserable....
EDIT: Thread title
I realize that there is already one Star Citizen thread. When discussing the development team's progress it seemed things got heated pretty quickly, almost like a political debate. It detracted from actually discussing the game itself.
Maybe we can discuss the development aspects of CIG here? A thread like this was suggested before, but I have not been able to find anything similar through searches. I'm hoping this wont end up getting closed.
For what it's worth, I am a...
Humble Bumble monthly subscription is $12 and you get this game. If I go two months, it would be $24 plus whatever games they throw in. I've done the bundles before for charity but I've ended up giving the games away. I have a huge backlog of games from Steam sales so is this game really fun to play for more than a couple of times?
